Around the corner, a mile or two, and/or a distance near or far.
Traveling is connecting with people, nature and places.

We need to remember to find the time - journeys are exceptional and each create a new challenge and life experience.

Last week I went to Idyllwild, California, where I had not been in years. Just a few hours and up a mountain - unbelieveable sights and sounds. The nature, the flow and glow of water and sunlight...

I cannot wait to return. I also have my memories of Anytown USA...when in high school I represented California in an encampment and leadership experience. It was there in Idyllwild. Now I hope to find some of the others who participated...our goal was..."Let There Be Peace on Earth."

I have just returned from speaking internationally as an Enrichment Lecturer.

This time my topics included creativity ~ creative writing.

Yesterday I was asked, once again, "Where is your favorite place to go?"

Actually, after traveling to every continent, I still say, I thoroughly enjoy every place that I travel to.

Experience! Wherever you may go this summer, even if it is only around the corner, open your eyes to people, customs, similariteis and the joy of tradition and uniqueness.

Surprise! Surprise!!

How exciting it was to totally surprise my husband, Dave, with a "kidnap" that was planned ages ago. All he had to do was take off two days of work and...da da.....

The shuttle picked us up early so he barely had an idea or time to digest it all. We were whisked to the City of Los Angeles Port and sailed to Vancouver. Once there, the purpose of the trip, we enjoyed Vancouver jazz, art, snow, parks, gardens and a special time together.

Sedona!!! Eight years ago Dave gave me a package filled with books about Sedona. That was my birthday present then and we just now got there. It was worth waiting for - an experience not to be missed. We took so many pictures yet words, pictures, movies and descriptions cannot adequately describe the true beauty and nature of Sedona. Another "favorite" place added to my journeys.

I can't tell you how many times I am asked, "Where is your favorite place that you have traveled to?"

The answer? I think ... = everywhere! ;-)

Each and every experience is an opportunity to discover so much.

Often I think, "This is the most amazing experience" and then, I take another step to another discovery. (If you are a friend on my FaceBook, please enjoy some of my photos and glimse into places throughout the world.)
